Another week, another leak for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, this time in the Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G version. That one just popped up on the Samsung Germany website, in the support page section. The device appears with the same codename, SM-T976B as the model spotted in GeekBench last month. The page has been taken down in the meantime.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, as revealed by the GeekBench listing and should come with 5G support. A big 9800-10.000 mAh battery should be inside, just enough to power the 12.4 inch screen and also handle the 5G load. The smaller Tab S7 has an 11 inch screen and 7760 mAh battery. Both slates have 120 Hz refresh rates and metal unibody designs. Super AMOLED panels or maybe Dynamic AMOLED ones are likely.
It’s not year clear if these devices will pop up on August 5th, during the online Samsung Unpacked event, or maybe in an earlier event this month, when the Galaxy Watch 3 may also be revealed. In the meantime a new product certification from Chinese authority 3C confirms that the new tablets will only offer 15W charging, sadly. This means that we’ll spend long hours charging the 10.000 mAh battery. 40W charge like the Huawei MatePad Pro has would have been the perfect option.
Well, phones aren’t doing any better, since the Galaxy S20 series has 45W charging, but comes with 25W chargers. I’m curious about the new S Pen features and also about One UI 2.5, which may also appear on these tablets.
