At the end of Samsung’s IFA 2015 keynote, the one that brought us the Gear S2 smartwatches we saw a teaser for an upcoming tablet. At the time we learned it was going to be called Galaxy View and it’ll be focused on video consumption, plus classroom and office use. Today we find out its specs.
As usual a benchmark is doing the leaking here, GFXBench in this case. Samsung Galaxy View has been spotted under the codenamed SM-T670 and it runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, plus it features an 18.5 inch display, a 64 bit octa core Exynos 7580 processor and a Mali T720 GPU. There’s also 2 GB of RAM in the mix, 32 GB of storage and a 2 megapixel secondary shooter.
A 5700 mAh battery is mentioned as well, while at the back rests an 8 megapixel primary camera. Specs also include a microSD card slot and we’ve even got the measurements of the device: 451.8 mm width, 275.8 mm tall and 11.9 mm thick. The slate recently passed the SIG and RRA certifications, so it may be announced very soon.
