Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, the direct follow-up to the first 7 inch Galaxy Tab was announced yesterday and now we already have some live pics of the device, plus a live video. It also appears that this model will enter Europe with a reasonable price tag of 250 euros, that makes me think of that affordable ASUS Quad core Android 4.0 tablet that everyone was talking about at CES.

Back to the Galaxy Tab 2, this slate was shown in Prague yesterday and it comes with a dual core 1 GHz processor, a 7 inch 1024 x 600 PLS TFT display and 8, 16 or 32 GB versions of storage. There’s also Android 4.0 ICS as the OS of choice, most likely with the TouchWiz customization. I also expect 1GB of RAM here and a 3 megapixel camera at the back, plus a 4000 mAh battery. Keep in mind that the 250 euro pricing only applies to the WiFi version, as the 3G one will set you back a bit more.

I’d like to find out if the CPU inside this newcomer is a Tegra or TI OMAP unit, although I tend to think it’s the first one, honestly. With devices like that the Tegra 3 7 inch ASUS tablet at $250 and this model at 250 euros, the Amazon Kindle Fire is not so alone in its low price range and high quality segment any more…
