Murena Volla is a tablet name I sure haven’t heard of till recently. The device doesn’t run on Android and also lacks Google services. It runs on /e/OS, heavily drawn from Android, but also secured and private, not transmiting any data to servers.
The Murena Volla Tablet has the same design as the 2025 Volla Tablet, but lacks Volla OS and Ubuntu Touch. It goes with an /e/OS, based on Android 14. It focuses on privacy protection and has Google services removed from the system. Cloud services that collect data are also removed. Google services are removed from the system, as are cloud services that collect user data.
Most of the apps preinstalled here, as shown on the screen are open source and you can also download and install others via the /e/OS App Directory. This store rates every app based on its privacy from a zero to a 10. I have to say that the hardware is kind of modest here:
- Processor: MediaTek Helio G99
- RAM: 12 GB
- Stocare: 512 GB
- Display: 12.6 inch, IPS LCD, 2560 x 1600 pixels
- Battery: 10.000 mAh
- Cameras: 13 MP Back, 5 MP Front.
- Others: 4G LTE
Price and availability
The device is available now for 698 euros on the manufacturer’s site. It also supports a stylus, but that’s an extra 50 euros. Murena doesn’t include a charger or a cable in the box.
