After some teasers that hinted towards a pretty solid high midrange tablet, Huawei sub-brand Honor unveiled today the Honor Tablet V6. It packs a Kirin 985 processor and offers 5G connectivity, plus it plays nicely with a keyboard and stylus.
The main claim that Honor makes for this product is that it’s the world’s first slate that comes with 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support. The design is very much inspired by Huawei’s smartphone lineup and the P40 and Honor 30 come to mind. There’s a glossy glass panel at the back with a gradient finish and the device comes in green, grey and black. On board we find a 10.4 inch AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution, plus 100% sRGB color gamut and 84% screen to body ratio.
Honor is also bundling the Magic Pencil stylus with this device, offering 4096 levels of pressure. Aside from the Kirin 985 CPU we also find inside 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. At the back there’s a 13 megapixel main camera and upfront an 8 MP shooter. Android 10 is the OS here, but sans Google Play Store and google Services. There’s still AppGallery for your app needs. Finally a 7250 mAh battery powers this machine, with 22.5W fast charging.
What we also know is that the device has Magic UI 3.1 on top of Android 10 and that it also brings a microSD card slot, USB-C port, audio jack and stereo speakers. Expect a debut in online stores on June 13th, which is when we’ll also learn its price.
