Huawei unveiled a new series of tablets today and started it with a singular model, the Huawei MatePad Pro Max. It’s the first Pro Max tablet on the market and measures just 4.7 mm in thickness. During an event held in Bangkok, the product came to life, complete with a keyboard and stylus.

It’s meant to be a laptop replacement and it comes with a PaperMatte Display, with anti glare nano etching technology, for paper like writing and also reduce reflections. It packs a 13.2 inch 3.55 mm thick bezel and uses an in front camera with wide angle. We don’t have a clear specs sheet, as the device will be fully unveiled only tomorrow, during a special event.

What’s clear is that it runs on HarmonyOS and it’s meant as a laptop alternative, with PC level multitasking. Keep in mind that the iPad Pro has a 5.1 mm thick waistline and the MagicPad 3 Pro from HNOR is at 4.82 mm. I expect a Kirin 9300 at least here, if not newer CPU, 12 GB of RAM and a 13.000 mAh battery with 66W fast charge, or even 100W. 8 speakers are a given, plus an OLED panel.
