Today, the guys from NVIDIA announced the fact that both the Shield tablet and the Shield Portable devices will soon receive the Android 5.1 Lollipop update. According to the company statement, the update is planned to be shared to users in the next couple of weeks, or at least before June.
While the Shield Tablet is running at the moment Android 5.0 Lollipop, the SHIELD Portable gaming device is stuck at Android 4.4 KitKat, so this news about an upcoming update to Lollipop seems to be great for users. This update will arrive just before the NVIDIA SHIELD gaming console that is planned for launch next month.
