Toshiba is preparing a new 12.5 inch detachable notebook/tablet with an Intel Core M Broadwell processor and up to 16 hours of battery life. This device will be launched early next year and it has been listed at the FCC last month.
A couple of days later, Toshiba officially launched this 2 in 1 machine, claiming it will be available in the UK in Q1 of 2015. We have no idea when it will come to USA, but it’s very likely that the product will arrive at CES 2015. Toshiba Portege Z20t comes with a 12.5 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS display, with optional support for a Wacom digitizer and an Intel Core M processor with Intel HD 5300 graphics, up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of SSD storage.
There’s a micro HDMI port on board, a microUSB port, too, as well as a microSD card slot and audio jack. The battery provides up to 8 hours of usage and this model, with the laptop dock attached gets a full keyboard and touchpad, a full size HDMI port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, VGA, Ethernet and an extra battery. We’ve got a 5 MP front webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and optional mobile broadband.
