ASUS’ ExpertBook A7 is aimed at workers who need a highly portable Windows laptop without giving up a large, high-resolution display or a full set of physical ports. The 14-inch business notebook measures as little as 10.3mm at its thinnest point and starts at 2.71 pounds, placing its emphasis on easy travel and desk-to-meeting mobility.
Its CNC-machined aluminum chassis will be offered in light and dark finishes. ASUS also highlights a one-finger opening hinge with three-stage resistance control, plus a magnetic closure designed to align itself when the lid is shut.
A display and battery built for long workdays
The ExpertBook A7 uses a 14-inch anti-glare OLED panel with 3K resolution, adaptive refresh from 48Hz to 120Hz, and brightness rated at up to 600 nits. That combination could be particularly useful for document-heavy work, multitasking, and use in brightly lit workspaces.
Inside, ASUS lists Intel Core 7 processors with CPU power of up to 27W. The company’s ExpertCool thermal system is intended to manage temperatures within the slim chassis. A 65Wh battery is rated for up to 26 hours of use, though real-world endurance will depend on the configuration and workload.
The laptop also includes stereo 4.6cc speakers with Dolby Premium support and an oversized haptic touchpad that ASUS says is designed for improved precision.
Enterprise protections without dropping legacy-friendly connectivity
For organizations managing sensitive data, the ExpertBook A7 includes ASUS’ MyExpert AI-assisted productivity hub alongside Windows 11. ASUS positions MyExpert as a tool for streamlining routine work tasks.
The business-oriented hardware and compliance features include:
- Fingerprint sensor, TPM 2.0, and Dual BIOS ROM for device and firmware protection.
- NIST SP 800-193 compliance and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.
- Two USB-C ports, USB-A, HDMI, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
- A 31.1 x 21.5 cm footprint, with thickness ranging from 10.3mm to 11.85mm.
ASUS has not announced exact memory or storage configurations, pricing, or a U.S. release date for the ExpertBook A7. Those details will determine where it lands among premium ultraportable business laptops, but its thin chassis, OLED screen, and broad port selection make it a notable option for professionals who still need wired connectivity on the road.
