Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 was rumored to appear during Samsung’s October 20 event, but in the end it didn’t pan out that way, since it was all about Bespoke devices. Now the Galaxy Tab S8 series seems to be ready for a 2022 debut, probably with the Galaxy S21 FE in January or the S22 series in February. At till that happens we have some leaks to keep you hyped.
First of all, the Tab S8 series will be the biggest one we’ve had so far, including no less than 3 models: Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra. The latter has received the most leaks and rumors of the bunch, but today is all about the Tab S8. The device has leaked courtesy of @OnLeaks and Zouton US, showing us its design in renders. This is an 11 inch slate with a metal body and shown in a silver color version.
I have to say that the device is quite similar to its predecessor, with slim uniform bezels upfront and also a rectangular format. It has flat edges and a flat screen, plus a special stripe at the back, where the S-Pen attaches magnetically. There are antenna cutouts on the sides and the slate provides a 120 Hz refresh rate on the LCD panel. The dual back camera integrates a 13 MP main shooter and a 5 MP cam, probably of the ultrawide variety.
There’s also a physical fingerprint scanner, said to be integrated in the Power button. The CPU inside is most likely a Snapdragon 888, unless Samsung doesn’t decide to go all pout and use the new and upcoming Snapdragon 898, which is expected to drop on December 1st, as usual. The base 11 inch model is also rumored to be priced at around $840 and the source favours a February 2022 release.
