A new midrange tablet is upon us, the TCL Tab Pro 5G model, with a pretty good price. The device costs $399 and it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor, the likes of which we’ve seen on the Nokia X20 and Nokia G300, plus the Nokia XR20.

The TCL Tab Pro 5G comes with a 10.36 inch NXTVISION display, that supports a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution and also HDR. The bezels are not exactly slim and the product seems more oriented towards a portrait use, rather than landscape. The corners are rounded, making the device comfy to hold for a longer time. Its dual tone back and strike through line from the camera area feel like a Lenovo machine.

There’s 4 GB of RAM here, plus 64 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. At the back side we find a 13 MP camera with an LED flash, while upfront there’s an 8 MP shooter. TCL also included a fingerprint scanner in the Power button, which is lacking from quite a few slates nowadays. Face Unlock is also part of the package. TCL Tab Pro 5G packs Hi-Res dual speakers, but lacks an audio jack.

It runs Android 11 out of the box and also has 5 pogo pins at the bottom used to attach a keyboard. It also offers support for mmWave and Sub-6 GHz 5G connectivity. Everything is rounded up by an 8000 mAh battery, that should offer up to 17 hours of battery life. It charges via USB-C and comes with support for 18W fast charging. Reverse charging is also available. The $399 price tag is available on Verizon.
