A couple of days ago we informed you about a brand new AMD processor for tablets, the A4-1200. Well, there’s already a tablet with this CPU inside and Windows 8 on board. It comes from MSI, a company that was there in the early days of tablets and it’s still here.
The newcomer features an 11.6 inch display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution on an IPS panel. There’s passive cooling available on the device, 128 GB of SSD storage, 2 GB of RAM and AMD Radeon HD 8180 graphics. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth and a 34.78 Wh battery, that MSI claims can reach about 9 hours of run time.
The device also integrates a fingerprint reader, plus the usual tablet motion sensors and automatic light sensor. By the way, the name of the product is MSI W20 and it measures 0.4 inches in thickness and weighs 1.5 pounds. The pricing has yet to be announced, although we expect it to be reasonable, in order for the product to go head to head against the competition.
