HTC has been rumored to be preparing new tablets for years now, so I tend to avoid any rumors regarding such releases. However, there’s yet another rumor of this kind making the rounds, this time related to Windows RT Blue.
HTC is said to be working on 7 inch and 12 inch Windows tablets and there was a source confirming it a month ago. These are the R7 and R12 models, each of them identified with the codename associated with the 7/12 inch diagonal. HTC H7 is rumored to be powered by a quad core 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 13 megapixel autofocus camera and HDMI, DLNA and NFC.
There will also be LTE/HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and AGPs included. The bigger unit, HTC R12 will pack a 12 inch 2048 x 1536 pixel display and more connectivity options. October 13th is the tentative launch date, also associated with the debut of Windows Blue, so the autumn will become very interesting for HTC.
