HP is keeping busy these days, so after the debut of the HP 7 Plus and the HP 8 1401, the company is preparing a new Android slate dubbed HP Slate 8 Plus. As the name indicates, we’re dealing with a model that has an 8 inch display and that will come to France priced at 299 euros.
It will be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and interestingly enough the CPU seems to be made by Huawei, if I’m not mistaking. The chip is a HiSilicon Balong V9R1 ARM Cortex A9 clocked at 1.6 GHz. The product weighs 350 grams, measures 7.95 mm in thickness and integrates 1 GB LPDDR2 RAM. The screen supports a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and other specs include a microSD card slot, a micro SIM card slot and a 1 MP front camera.
The back camera is a 5 MP shooter, by the way and the battery inside this model is a 18.3 Whr unit, with an estimated functioning time of 6 hours tops. Connectivity includes WiFi 801.11 n, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. This device will hit the French market before next month is out.
