Yashi already made the news once, by introducing a TabletBook Ultra S2 hybrid with 12 inch display and now they’ve got a smaller model, that still tends to offer some laptop features. It’s called Yashi TabletBook Mini A1 and it’s an 8 inch slate with a keyboard cover.

This device is based on the Intel Bay Trail CPU and runs Windows 8.1 with Office 365 preinstalled for free for a year. The device will hit the market in July and it doesn’t sound bad. It adopts 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, an SD card slot and an IPS 8 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display. Upfront we’ve got a 2 megapixel camera, while at the back there’s a shooter with the same resolution. There’s WiFi 802.11n on board, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and WiFi, as well as USB and microHDMI.

The keyboard cover is optional and the basic version of the slate is priced at 229 euros, while the keyboard is purchased separately for an extra 39 euros. Yashi Tabletbook Mini A1 has 3G and WiDi also included in the mix and it seems like a solid rival for all those smaller Acer, ASUS and Toshiba models out there.
