Fresh after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in New York, we find out that the 3G BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is available. Also, a Google search for the words “PlayBook 4G” shows that the initial plan was to launch this product soon. However, all we get is the 3G version.

Ever since the BlackBerry PlayBook took off we’ve heard about a 4G versions coming soon and reaching the three big US carriers. These companies failed to confirm and Verizon even said that haven’t decided whether or not to carry the device. Couple that with initial disappointing sales and reviews of the slate and you don’t quite have a pretty picture, although we pretty much liked the device when we reviewed it.

It may be the lack of proper contacts and email without a BlackBerry phone or people are waiting for an upgrade 10 inch model, who knows?
