BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha was the talk of the town last week, as the BlackBerry World event took off. Crackberry forum user Biggulpseh has some extra inside info that wasn’t revealed at the show, including some details concerning this new version of the OS, that could save RIM.
It appears that internal documents mention a tilt-sensitive lock screen for the platform, that will push notifications to the user based on the device’s movements. There’s also a screen sharing function, that increase productivity of video calls and a bonus: a nifty video editor that RIM created thanks to the acquisition of JayCut in 2011. All of these sound like very good features for the brand new OS, especially the cooperative videocall function.
The info is said to come from a trusted source, so there’s no reason to contest it. Now the problem is not only creating great software, but also great hardware, that’s lacking at RIM right now. All they have planned is a 4G PlayBook and maybe some dual core phones for this Fall…
