This year Samsung chose to offer us a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite instead of a Galaxy Tab S6e as the successor to the Galaxy Tab S5e. since the Tab S6 Lite is getting closer to a store debut, it’s time the Tab S5e got a discount or two. The slate we called “the slimmest in the world” in its review last September is now priced at just $399 instead of $479 on Amazon.
We’re talking about the WiFi 128 GB black version of the product. The device comes with the added bonus of 4 months of ad free YouTube Premium/Music. The product packs a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED screen with a generous resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and quad AKG tuned speakers. It weighs just 400 grams and measures a crazy 5.5 mm in thickness. Inside we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 CPU, plus a hefty 7040 mAh battery good enough for one whole day of fun.
The product debuted with Android Pie and One UI last year, but by now it should have Android 10 and One UI 2.0. It also offers a 13 MP main camera with 4K video capture and a front 8 MP shooter. There’s also a microSD card slot and 6 GB of RAM here, to keep things future proof. The color choices include black, silver and gold and you can also purchase a separate book cover keyboard at around $129.99.
What we enjoyed on this tablet was that you can switch to a DeX experience, which resembles a Windows desktop. You can find out more in the review above and also get the device discounted from here.
