LG Gram 17 is a new thin and light laptop that was unveiled by LG recently, as part of the forgotten series LG Gram. The company has been selling such devices for years now and the name comes from the fact that the product weighs around a kilogram.

Usually, the devices come in 13.3 inch, 14 inch and 15.6 inch versions, but till now there was no 17 incher. Well now there is one. LG Gram 17 has been certified by the FCC and appeared in some listings with the model number 17Z990. The two numbers at the beginning are usually associated with the screen size. We don’t have any pictures in the FCC listing, but we do have some info about the interface ports.

The laptop is going to have three USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C port, a HDMI port and a power jack. An audio jack and a microSD card slot are also here. LG didn’t forget about the Ethernet adapter, which oddly enough is plugged into one of the USB ports, to reduce bulk. WiFi ac is also here, plus Bluetooth. In spite of the fame and the name, LG Gram 17 may actually go past 2.2 pounds.

A 15.6 inch new gen model is also expected and sources talk about a CES 2019 unveiling. These aren’t quite modest laptops, since there’s also an LG Gram or two with Core i7 CPUs.
