The Lenovo Yoga Book was one of the most original and revolutionary tablets we tested over the past year and now it’s ready to get a brand new version, that in spite of being bigger, it’s somehow… cheaper. The 12 inch Lenovo Yoga Book is said to be coming soon, priced at just $300. It’s even been listed on Amazon.
It gets to keep its secondary touch area, serving as a keyboard, with excellent feedback and the ability to become a drawing and scribbling area for the stylus. The original Yoga Book model sold for $500, so the $300 model is quite the discount. Lenovo did mention at the time of the debut, that the Yoga Book was only the first in a whole lineup of products.
The device is larger and heavier than the 10.1 incher, weighing 2.2 pounds, but it’s still rather slim at 0.43 inches in thickness. For those puzzled by the lower price for a bigger tablet, you should know it has inferior specs. Those include a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, which are no match for the original’s Full HD screen, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
Still, the Intel Atom x5 Cherry Trail CPU is kept, as well as the USB 3.0 Type C port, USB 2.0 port, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 and the Wacom panel is in the mix too. Since the model from Amazon runs Android, expect to also get a Windows one with a bit of a higher price soon. Keep in mind this is no mistake, since the listing hasn’t been removed in the meantime.
