ASUS was a master of creating dock mechanisms to couple a tablet to its keyboard and then came Cube i7, with a beautiful mechanism of its own. This slate was actually unveiled last week, but all we saw then were a series of hands on shots.
Today we get to see official images of the device and a more clear look at the tablet’s specs. The Cube i7 is a Core-M-powered model, with Windows 8 on board and a 11.6 inch Full HD screen. The product also brings 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 128 GB SSD and 4G connectivity (dual mode). There’s a 5 MP back camera, a front 2 MP shooter and Bluetooth is also included.
Cube also incorporated a TF card expansion slot, a 5000 mAh 7.2 V battery and a keyboard dock that would make both Lenovo and ASUS jealous. There’s even a HDMI port in the mix, as well as an USB 3.0 one. Cube i7 has a pretty good price of $579 and one wouldn’t be too wrong calling this a lesser Surface Pro rival, or maybe an ASUS Chi series rival.
