Those of you looking for a trace of ultrabook goodness in a regular laptop format will surely be tempted by the perspective of buying the freshly available ASUS VivoBook Pro 15. This machine is now up for sale at $1299 and it stands out through a slim chassis, a light package and some pretty solid specs.

It’s all quad core Kaby Lake action here and there’s enough RAM and storage to go around. Unveiled at Computex 2017 in May, this machine offers a 15.6 inch screen in a 0.8 inch thick package. It weighs 4.8 pounds and uses an Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad core processor, while the graphics section is covered by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with 4 GB of memory.

There’s also a variety of configs to pick from here, but what they have in common is the Full HD IPS LCD touchscreen display. There’s also up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and 512 GB of M.2 solid state storage. On the connectivity side of things, we’ve got USB Type-C, USB 3.1, USB 2.0 ports, plus HDMI and audio jack. WiFi 802.11ac is also here, plus Bluetooth 4.2 and Gigabit Ethernet. Stereo speakers blast off Harman Kardon powered sounds and a 47 Wh battery rounds up the list.

There’s an HD webcam for chatters and an SD card reader too. The device is available on the ASUS Store and a variety of resellers.
