There’s a new Chromebook in town, one made by ASUS and known as the ASUS Chromebook Flip C213NA. It’s meant for the classroom and it’s a convertible machine, that’s pictured below.

This device packs an 11.6 inch touchscreen display with a 360 degree hinge and its body has been seriously ruggedized. The “brain” here is an Intel Celeron Apollo Lake N3350 processor and we also get 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, two USB Type-C ports and two USB 3.0 ones. Stereo speakers and microphone are also part the specs, plus expandable storage.

The resolution is an atypical 1600 x 900 pixels and there’s a camera integrated within the top side of the keyboard, which is also odd. The idea is to put the device in tent mode and have the screen facing you, while the camera faces away, so you can firm a classroom lecture. Don’t worry, as there’s also a front facing webcam. Asus Chromebook Flip C213NA arrives with WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and an audio jack.

A 46 Wh battery is also here and the whole thing weighs 2.8 pounds, plus it measures 0.8 inches in thickness. No official price or debut date has been given.
