Alcatel Joy Tab

Over the years we’ve seen a couple of Alcatel tablets arriving on T-Mobile shelves. Now it looks like a brand new slate is ready for launch in the US. As you can tell from the title, the new product is called Alcatel Joy Tab and thanks to the popular leaker Evan Blass we get to see it pictured in the render above.

This tablet runs Android and looks pretty basic. Comes in a polycarbonate body and with big bezels on front, around the display. The “4G LTE” symbol is visible in the up-right next to the battery and apparently this product will arrive with a 7-inch or even a 8-inch screen. The resolution will be HD probably (1280 x 720 pixels).

The back has a textured pattern and in the middle stands the Alcatel logo. We can see a single rear camera, a front-facing camera for video calls and a speaker on the back. Also a 3.5 mm audio jack is present here. Other specs are unknown for the moment but soon we’ll be able to find out more.

Probably we’ll see here specs like 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Support for microSD is on the list and also a quad-core or an octa-core CPU. Also it’s pretty clear that a microUSB v2.0 port will be in use here. Alcatel Joy Tab might launch on September 20th as the date on the display shows.
