RIM has just announced that it intends to recall 900 units of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. These are units shipped to Staples we’re talking about, in the 16GB flavor, so if you’re one of the people who bought such a device, you may want to check out the list of units over here.
Too bad that there’s no explanation on what’s wrong with the PlayBooks or an official press release. We suppose it’s too bad to fix with an update and also that it’s a hardware matter rather than software. Meanwhile, Staples is trying to get its units pulled and back to the fixing lot. Considering that analysts mentioned that over the first day of release, RIM sold 45.000 units of the device, 900 is a small figure to worry about.
That unless you’re an unlucky user of the BlackBerry tablet…
