Samsung’s next flagship Android tablets could come with decidedly flagship-level price tags. A fresh leak reveals the alleged US pricing for the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, with the cheapest model apparently starting at a hefty $1,199.99.
According to reliable tipster Roland Quandt, the Galaxy Tab S12+ will be offered with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. The entry-level 256GB Wi-Fi model is reportedly priced at $1,199.99, while moving to 512GB pushes the price to $1,399.99. Samsung is also preparing a cellular version of the 256GB tablet, reportedly priced at $1,349.99.
The alleged US pricing looks like this:
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+:
- 12GB + 256GB, Wi-Fi: $1,199.99
- 12GB + 256GB, Wi-Fi + Cellular: $1,349.99
- 12GB + 512GB, Wi-Fi: $1,399.99
Things get even more expensive with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. Its base 12GB + 256GB configuration is expected to cost $1,399.99, while doubling the storage to 512GB apparently takes the price to $1,599.99. At the top of the range sits a 1TB model with 16GB of RAM at an imposing $1,999.99.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra:
- 12GB + 256GB, Wi-Fi: $1,399.99
- 12GB + 512GB, Wi-Fi: $1,599.99
- 16GB + 1TB, Wi-Fi: $1,999.99
There is currently no pricing information for cellular versions of the Tab S12 Ultra. That doesn’t necessarily mean Samsung won’t sell them in the US, as the leak may simply cover only part of the upcoming lineup.
The interesting part is that Samsung doesn’t appear to be planning a major visual overhaul this generation. The Galaxy Tab S12+ and S12 Ultra are expected to remain relatively close to the Galaxy Tab S11 family in terms of design, with most of the important upgrades happening under the hood.
Chief among them should be MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, replacing the chipset used by the previous generation and bringing a significant CPU and GPU performance boost. The tablets are also expected to ship with Android 17 and One UI 9.0 straight out of the box. If Samsung maintains its current flagship update policy, buyers could receive seven generations of major Android upgrades.
An S Pen should once again be included rather than sold separately, with IP68 dust and water resistance also expected for the stylus.
