Lenovo’s next compact gaming tablet has appeared in real-life photos ahead of its official debut. The Legion Y700 Infinite was spotted in images shared on Weibo, revealing both the front and rear design of what could become one of the most powerful small Android tablets on the market.

The photos, reportedly taken in a retail environment, show the Legion Y700 Infinite in a dark blue finish with prominent Legion branding on the back. Lenovo appears to be sticking with the compact landscape-oriented design of previous Y700 models. The rear houses a single camera accompanied by an LED flash, while the front image shows Lenovo’s Android-based interface running on the tablet.

Lenovo has already confirmed that the Legion Y700 Infinite will launch in China on August 25. One of its biggest upgrades is the move to an 8.4-inch OLED display, replacing the LCD technology used by earlier generations. The panel offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, a 165 Hz refresh rate and a very high 3,400 Hz touch sampling rate, specifications clearly aimed at competitive and fast-paced gaming.

Performance should be another major selling point. Lenovo is using an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with the company claiming an AnTuTu score of 4,585,844 points. Keeping that hardware under control will reportedly be a 15,000 mm² vapor chamber cooling system, particularly important considering the tablet’s compact dimensions.

Leaked configurations suggest Lenovo will offer versions starting with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the flagship model could reach 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Other rumored specifications include a 7,470 mAh battery with 68 W charging, a 50 MP rear camera and an 8 MP selfie camera. The tablet could measure around 6.5 mm in thickness and weigh approximately 298 grams.

Another significant addition is native 5G connectivity, making the Y700 Infinite more useful as a portable gaming machine away from Wi-Fi networks. Dual USB-C ports and a fingerprint reader are also expected.

Lenovo has confirmed compatibility with accessories including the G9 gaming controller and CR7 Supreme Cooler Kit, an external semiconductor cooling solution designed for extended gaming sessions. Pricing remains unknown for now.
