Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has surfaced on Geekbench ahead of its expected September debut, giving us an early look at the flagship tablet’s performance. The benchmark listing suggests that Samsung is sticking with MediaTek for another generation, while delivering a modest performance uplift over the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

The Geekbench entry, associated with model number SM-X946B, is widely believed to belong to the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. The identifier closely matches last year’s SM-X936B used by the Tab S11 Ultra, while the CPU configuration leaves little doubt about the chipset inside. The benchmark reveals a setup with one prime core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores, paired with clock speeds of up to 4.21 GHz for the prime core and 2.7 GHz for the efficiency cores, pointing to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

Performance figures show the tablet reaching 2,424 points in the single-core test and 8,446 points in the multi-core test, putting it slightly ahead of its predecessor. The tested unit also packs 12 GB of RAM, suggesting Samsung will once again offer this as the base configuration, with a higher-end 16 GB RAM variant likely to follow at launch.

Recent leaks indicate that the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will look almost identical to the current model. It reportedly retains the 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with its distinctive notch for the front-facing camera, ultra-thin bezels, a slim 5.1 mm metal chassis, dual rear cameras, and the magnetic connector for Samsung’s keyboard cover. The tablet is also expected to keep the 11,600 mAh battery with 45W wired charging, making this year’s upgrade more about refining performance than redesigning the hardware.

Camera hardware is rumored to remain unchanged as well, with a 13 MP primary camera, 8 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 12 MP front-facing camera housed inside the display notch.

On the software side, Samsung is expected to ship the tablet with One UI 9 based on Android 17, while continuing its flagship software commitment of seven years of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

If previous rumors prove accurate, Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra alongside the Galaxy S26 FE during a launch event expected to take place in September 2026, probably during IFA 2026.
