Honor is expanding its high-performance tablet lineup with the new MagicPad 3 12.5, a more compact and affordable version of the MagicPad 3 Pro. Following the 13.3-inch flagship’s debut earlier this year, this smaller model aims to deliver flagship-level performance in a sleeker, lighter form factor.

The MagicPad 3 12.5 features a 12.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 3048×2032 resolution (294 PPI). It supports an adaptive 165Hz refresh rate with multiple stepping modes down to 30Hz, allowing for smoother visuals and improved power efficiency. Brightness peaks at 1,000 nits in HDR, while typical brightness reaches 700 nits. Under the hood, the tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with MagicOS 9.0.1 (based on Android 15) — upgradeable to MagicOS 10 and Android 16 later on.

In terms of imaging, Honor includes a 13MP rear camera (f/2.0, autofocus) and an 8MP front shooter (f/2.2) for video calls and content capture. Connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, with support for LDAC and aptX Adaptive for high-resolution wireless audio. The 10,100mAh battery supports 66W fast charging via USB-C, offering long-lasting endurance for productivity or media consumption.

The MagicPad 3 12.5 measures just 5.88mm thick and weighs 528 grams, housed in a precision-milled aluminum chassis. Buyers can choose between silver, black, green, and purple finishes. Honor also sells a compatible stylus and keyboard case separately, positioning the tablet as a productivity tool as much as a media device.

In China, pricing starts at ¥2699 (around $380) for the 8GB + 256GB model and ¥2999 (around $420) for the 12GB RAM variant. Global availability hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Honor is expected to bring the tablet to more markets in the coming months.
