Samsung announced this week the debut of the WiFi-only version of the Galaxy Tab slate. This device keeps the specs of the original model, aside from the 3G connectivity. This means that you’ll need a WiFi network to use this tablet and be able to browse the web on it.

Galaxy Tab WiFi sports the same 7 inch display, with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and support for Flash Player v10. The device measures 11.98mm in thickness and runs Android 2.2, relying on an ARM Cortex A81 1GHz processor. As far as cameras are concerned, there’s a front 1.3MP one and a 3.2MP one at the back.

16GB of storage can be used on this slate and 16GB more via microSD card. Galaxy Tab WiFi comes with a battery able to provide up to 7 hours of audio-video playback. No info on price yet.
