The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is as poorly kept of a secret as the Galaxy S22 smartphone series. We’ve seen leaks of marketing materials and they just keep on coming. On February 9th, during the next Unpacked event the South Korean giant will showcase 3 new tablets: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
The entire series of devices features Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors and also S-Pen styli. Those accessories are able to fit on the tablet’s magnetic charging pad at the back. There’s no audio jack here, by the way and the Tab S8 Ultra graces us with a notch upfront, holding two cameras.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 should feature an 11 inch LCD display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, an 8000 mAh battery and it all weighs 503 grams. Then comes the Galaxy Tab S8+ with a 12.4 inch AMOLED screen with a 2800 x 1752 pixel resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, plus a 10.090 mAh battery. It weighs 572 grams. These two models come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage.
The flagship remains the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, with a 14.6 inch AMOLED screen and a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels. It’s got a dual front facing camera (12 MP and 12 MP ultrawide), a dual back camera with 13 MP main sensor and 6 MP ultrawide and a 11.200 mAh battery. There’s 8 or 16 GB of RAM here and 128 or 512 GB of storage.
All 3 models have Android 12 and One UI 4.0, as well as Wi-Fi and 5G versions, plus 45W charging. Quad speakers with AKG and Dolby Atmos are also a given. No chargers in the box though.
