On the very first day of September we saw Lenovo announcing a bunch of new Yoga devices, including tablets, convertibles and laptops. Now one of them has come to life, the Lenovo Miix 520 2 in 1 slate, which is up for sale right now.

The 12.2 incher has a Full HD display and more things going for it: detachable keyboard, support for pen input and it inaugurates the 8th Intel Core Kaby Lake-R CPU. Orders are available in USA and China, with Amazon selling a product like this for a $1018 price tag. That version brings you an Intel Core i7-8550U quad core CPU, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of PCIe storage (SSD).

Of course there should also be cheaper versions, like the Core i5 one one on JD, at $900, available in China. The product is bundled with its keyboard and pen, at least in the States, but we can’t guarantee that will happen all over the world. Weighing around 2 pounds, this machine is also 0.4 inches thick and comes with an 8 megapixel main camera, 5 MP front cam and USB Type-C port, as well as a backlit keyboard with a 1.5 mm key travel and WiFi 802.11 ac.

There’s Bluetooth 4.1 and USB 3.0 here and I’ve heard there should also be a 1 TB storage version out there. The kickstand at the back makes me think of the surface Pro and the whole machine plays nicely with a Lenovo Active Pen 2. The battery life was rated at around 7.5 hours when the product debuted, which is not bad at all.
