Mitashi isn’t a brand I’m familiar with, but with a child tablet segment that doesn’t include many models, it’s easy to remember this name. They’ve debuted a new kid-friendly tablet dubbed Sky Tab 2, that runs Android and it’s available in India.
The price is $115 and the product is listed on the company’s website, but it’s out of the stock for the time being. The Mitashi Sky Tab 2 packs a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 976 x 600 pixels and Android 4.2 as the OS. There’s a 1 GHz dual core CPU inside, 1 GB of RAM too, 8 GB of storage and a microSD card slot with up to 32 GB of extra storage supported.
The slate has a 2 MP back camera, a 0.3 MP front shooter and a 3300 mAh battery incorporated as well. Sky Tab 2 has a parental control feature, that allows you to add filters, block websites and monitor what the kids are browsing over WiFi. There are also 27 preloaded apps for children and a rubberized protective case, that prevents damage from drops.
