The Nokia Lumia 2520 may have met with some problems lately, because of faulty chargers, but that won’t stop it from launching in Australia. The product will debut in local stores on May 18th.

This device is an alternative to Microsoft’s own Surface 2 and the iPad Air and it comes with Windows RT 8.1, with the full Microsoft Office Suite built in. This 10 inch model packs a 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection, as well as LTE connectivity and a Snapdragon 8974 processor. There’s 32 GB of storage inside, a microSD card slot and a 6.7 megapixel back camera with the Nokia Carl Zeiss technology.

Nokia also included some of its own apps here, like Nokia Storyteller, Video Director and HERE Maps. In case you live in Australia, you may get the Lumia 2520 for $840 via the launch partner Telstra. There’s also the option of a 24 month $35 Telstra Tablet plan, that probably takes the price down a notch or two.
