Intel has already launched the Bay Trail-T with support for Windows 8/Windows 8.1 and they’ll launch Android models till the year is out, said the same sources. There will be a special entry level Android supporting Bay Trail, the Z3735D series. The idea is to integrate that within 7 inch tablets priced at $99, up to $129 and on 7 to 8 inch models going up to $199 in the first quarter of 2014.

Bay Trail and Cherry Trail will also target 8 to 10 inch segments next year, with a price range of $199 to $249. 10 inch models and above will target a $249 range. In September 2014 the chip maker will unveil Cherry Trail, a platform based on the 14 nm Airmont architecture and supporting both Windows 8.1 and Android. Then there will be Willow Trail, based on the 14 nm Goldmont architecture, coming in Q4 2014.

Sounds like a busy year for Intel right? Let’s see how Nvidia and AMD can cope…
