Here’s a fresh leak of an 8 inch tablet with Windows 8 from Acer, after Dell was also rumored to be working on a new model of this kind. It appears the newcomer will be named Acer Iconia W4-820 and it will use an 8.1 inch display and Windows 8.
It will also be based on the Intel Atom Bay Trail processor and offer the users 32 GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. GPS is also on board, as well as a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The core of the new slate is an Intel Atom Z3740 processor, a quad core 22 nm unit with a clock speed of 1.86 GHz.
We’ll get 2 GB of RAM inside and the Intel HD4000 graphics. Acer Iconia W4-820 will run Windows 8 classic without any limitations of app installs like on Windows RT. Also on board there will be the Office suite and specs include a 2 MP front cam and 5 MP back cam. A micro HDMI port and micro USB are also present, as well as a microSD card slot.
The new tablet will come at the end of October with a price tag of around 329 euros.
