Now that’s a good offering! We’ve just found an interesting tablet, priced at just $96, that comes with an Intel Bay Trail processor and Windows 8.1. The model is called Vivo W8C, if I understood correctly and it brings some pretty good specs.
This slate model packs an 8 inch display, 32 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM. It has a 64 bit processor, probably a quad core one, clocked a 1.8 GHz and there’s even HDMI out. We also get a microSD card slot and the 8 inch screen offers a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, plus an IPS panel. There’s a dual 2 megapixel camera on board and apparently 3G is in the mix as well, although that sounds too good to be true.
The product measures 9.2 mm in thickness and weighs 285 grams. There’s a 4200 mAh Li-Ion battery inside, Bluetooth support and preinstalled Office 365 software. The CPU we keep mentioned here is an Intel Atom Z3735F quad core one and this sounds like a solid bargain at $96.
