After the MWC 2014 event in Barcelona, now it’s time for CebIT 2014, taking place in Hannover, Germany. This event includes some new tablets and smartphones and from the former category we found the Tarox Craftab 8.3 inch model to be very interesting.
This device runs Windows 8.1 on an Intel Bay Trail CPU and it’s a rugged and industrial slate. The Tarox Craftab 8.3 has an 8.3 inch Full HD display, with a 1900 x 1200 pixel display, with 16:9 aspect ratio. There’s also Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 800:1 contrast ratio and a 160 degree view angle. Inside we find the quad core Intel Atom Z3745 CPU, which is a 64 bit capable unit.
There’s also 64 GB of storage on board, GPS, NFC and an 8 megapixel rear camera. This model will come in a LTE version as well and it weighs 500 grams. The device has an interesting dock, with 3 USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet and HDMI out. Tarox Craftab sets you back 1099 euros in the WiFi version and 1199 in the 4G one. It comes in May!
