The idea of a Hello Kitty tablet with Windows sounds strange, but not if you’re in Taiwan. Local carrier Eastone Telecommunications has started selling the Genuine GenPad 8 Hello Kitty tablet, that comes with Windows 8.1.
Inside the device we find an Intel Atom Z3735F processor, clocked at 1.83 GHz and sporting 4 cores. The screen is an 8 incher with an IPS LCD panel and a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, while other specs include a 2 MP front camera and a 5 MP main camera. There’s Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n and 2 GB of RAM here, plus 32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot.
The product bundles a 4200 mAh battery and comes only in white. There’s even a price tag for this model, that goes for $223. I’m guessing that if Sanrio, the brand behind Hello Kitty partnered with the carrier for this launch, there should be some custom content and wallpapers related to the famous cat on board.
