It’s a well known fact that Steve Jobs admires the way Sony are doing business and we guess that Sony also has some respect for Apple, at this point. This is also due to a recent statement of Sony computer division head Kunimasa Suzuki, who said that the company wants to catch up and be second to Apple by 2012, as far as tablet sales are concerned.
Suzuki also calls the iPad the “king of tablets” and he wants Sony’s product to be second, although we have no idea what that product will be. An year is the time frame for Sony to take the spot on the podium. It was kind of a disappointment to witness the debut of CES 2011 with Sony lacking a PSP Phone or tablet from its booth…
Maybe MWC 2011 will bring novelty, but that’s not for sure as far as Sony is concerned. Recently there have been claims that Sony might be readying a PSP tablet, especially with the few gaming slates present at CES 2011 showing that it can be done. So, will it happen?
