Samsung has confirmed it has an event scheduled for August 1st, when it’s going to unveil some new hardware products. It’s not the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for sure, since that’s coming on August 9th, but it may well be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.

There has been an impressive and huge number of tablets from Samsung leaking lately. I’m talking about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, Tab A2 XL and a Tab A 8.0 at some point. The flagship model may be launched separately from the Galaxy Note 9, in order to not steal its spotlight. The August 1st event will be a brief one, without bells and whistles, according to sources, who also mentioned the debut of the Tab S4.

Some said that we’ll see the slates at IFA 2018, but they seem to have been wrong. Anyway, we know everything there is to know about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. We know it comes in black or white. We know it’ll have narrow bezels, no Home button and a powerful iris scanner. It also gets a bundled S Pen, which is the same one we’ll get with the Galaxy Note 9, apparently.

A Snapdragon 835 CPU is on board, plus a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED screen with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, plus a 16:10 aspect ratio. Other specs include 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI is on top. Camera-wise, there’s a 13 MP back shooter and an 8 MP front unit.

And we’re not even done, since there’s an impressive 7300 mAh battery, with fast charge, 4G LTE, USB Type-C, AKG tuned speakers and more. Oddly enough the price has yet to leak.
