Samsung has quietly expanded its mid-range tablet lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Tab A11+, a beefed-up version of the Tab A11 that debuted earlier this year. The new model is rolling out first to select regions including the UK and Ukraine, pushing Samsung’s budget tablet strategy a bit closer to its premium playbook.
The Tab A11+ brings an 11-inch WUXGA LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, a notable step up from typical entry-level displays. It won’t rival Samsung’s AMOLED tablets, but the bump to 90Hz should make scrolling and gaming feel smoother. Under the hood, Samsung has swapped the Unisoc chipset from the base model for MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300, which should translate to more consistent performance in apps, multitasking, and browser-heavy workloads. Configurations go up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and microSD expansion up to 2TB sticks around for those who hoard offline content.
The software story is more ambitious. The Tab A11+ ships with One UI 8 based on Android 16 and slots into Samsung’s seven-year update roadmap, meaning OS upgrades through Android 23. That puts it in rare company among budget tablets, and it arrives with Google Gemini support baked in. Elsewhere, the hardware is familiar: an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera for calls, a 7,040mAh battery with 25W charging, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos. A 3.5mm headphone jack also survives, which is becoming an increasingly niche perk.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and optional 5G for those who want a lightweight streaming or study device on the go. Samsung estimates up to 15 hours of video playback per charge, which should be enough for long flights or a full day of remote classes.
Prices
The Galaxy Tab A11+ comes in Grey and Silver and is already on sale in a few regions. UK pricing is straightforward: £249 for the 128GB Wi-Fi model, £299 for 256GB Wi-Fi or 128GB 5G, and £349 for the top-end 256GB 5G configuration. A wider global rollout is expected soon.
