Samsung has officially taken the wraps off its new budget-friendly Galaxy Tab A11 lineup, confirming pricing and configurations for the 8.7-inch model in several European markets. Meanwhile, the larger Galaxy Tab A11+ is set to arrive later this year with upgraded features, though its price remains under wraps.
The Galaxy Tab A11 quietly appeared on Samsung’s UAE website last month, but this week it made its official debut in Europe and India. The 8.7-inch slate starts at just €180 ($210), positioning it as one of Samsung’s most affordable Android tablets this year.
Here’s a breakdown of the configurations now up for pre-order in France, Ireland, and the UK:
- WiFi-only, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage: €180
- WiFi-only, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: €230
- WiFi + 4G LTE, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage: €220
- WiFi + 4G LTE, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: €270
US pricing has yet to be announced, and it’s not clear when the smaller model will expand to North America.
At first glance, the Galaxy Tab A11 looks like a modest update to last year’s Galaxy Tab A9. It carries over the same 8.7-inch, 1340 x 800 pixel LCD, MediaTek Helio G99 processor (with two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores, plus Mali-G57 MC2 graphics), and a 5,400 mAh battery (a slight bump from the Tab A9’s 5,100 mAh).
The new model’s key improvements are:
- 90 Hz display refresh rate (up from 60 Hz)
- 5 MP front camera (up from 2 MP)
Other hardware includes an 8 MP rear camera, USB-C (USB 2.0) port, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Dolby Atmos audio support, and microSD card expansion up to 2 TB. Wireless connectivity is handled by WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. Like other 2025 Galaxy tablets, it is eligible for 7 years of OS and security updates, a major selling point in the budget segment.
Galaxy Tab A11+: Bigger and More Powerful
Later this year, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Tab A11+, aimed at users who want a more versatile, productivity-focused device. This larger tablet is expected to ship with:
- 11-inch LCD display with 90 Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor
- 7,040 mAh battery with 25W fast charging
- Storage options: 128 GB or 256 GB
- microSD expansion up to 2 TB
- 3.5 mm headphone jack
- Samsung DeX support for PC-like multitasking
DeX is a standout feature, especially at this price tier. While Samsung hasn’t confirmed if the A11+ includes a USB 3.0 port, DeX support alone makes it attractive for students or professionals looking for light productivity without investing in a premium Galaxy Tab S model.
