Just before the debut of Mobile World Congress 2011, rumors about the products that will be showcased in Barcelona have started popping up. Among them, we found some info on the follow-up to the Galaxy Tab slate. It appears that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will sport a 10.1 inch display and run Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

Nothing we couldn’t predict honestly and it takes more than that to surprise us. A dual core Snapdragon chipset is also among the specs, apparently the same as the one present on the HP TouchPad slate and on the next Galaxy S handset. We’re curios what will happen to the current Galaxy Tab and whether or not it will be upgraded to a superior version of Android.

It will take something special from Samsung to rival the dual core LTE Motorola Xoom slate, or the 3D display/3D camera combo that is LG Optimus Pad. What will Samsung’s selling point be? A projector maybe? 3D technology as well? A superior display technology?
