The Prestigio Multipad Visconte is a premiere for the brand Prestigio, that doesn’t exactly have many Windows slates in its portofolio. This one is a Windows 8.1 device that we’re testing these days and that’s unboxed in the video below.
The product is a 10 inch slate with a $498 price tag, a 3G SIM card slot and 32 or 64 GB of storage (the 64 GB one is pricier). Inside the box we find the charger with two types of prongs and manuals. You can also buy an extra Bluetooth keyboard, that turns the device into sort of a notebook. The Prestigio Multipad Visconte features an Intel Celeron N2805 processor, a dual core 1.46 GHz unit, 2 GB of RAM and MS Office Home and Student 2013 bundled.
The battery is a 4000 mAh unit, a 7.4 Volt one and the screen is a 10.1 incher with an IPS panel and 16:10 aspect ratio. Its resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels and other specs include a 1 MP front camera, G Sensor, mini HDMI port, microSD card slot and a microUSB 3.0 port on the left side. The whole thing measures 9.9 mm in thickness and comes in silver white or dark blue.
The first impression wasn’t exactly positive, since the On/Off button doesn’t always respond to commands and the virtual keyboard forgets to pop up sometimes.
