Opera 18 is not just a scaled up version of a smartphone browser, but rather an experience designed with tablets in mind. The navigation and menu buttons have been placed in areas where the fingers would naturally rest when using a slate. There’s also an improved Discover feature, that lets the user swipe between newspaper and magazine content, matched to the user’s interest and location.

The browser offers an Off-Road mode, that will allow you to stay online when using a public WiFi connection or when you’re trying to reduce data usage. Opera for Android is part of the Opera browser lineup, that includes releases for Windows, Mac, Android, Opera Mini and the Coast by Opera browser for iPad. You can download it from here.
