Nintendo always caters to its customers, especially since there’s millions of them for the Switch product lineup. Now there’s a new policy in place that lets them get the newer Nintendo Switch with better battery life, even if they have the older one just purchased.
According to Redditors, Nintendo of America has been informing customers that they can send in the older Switch unit and exchange it for a newer one, sans cost. The condition is that the device must have been bought after July 17th, which is the date when the Nintendo Switch with 9 hours of battery life was unveiled without much fanfare.
It’s no Nintendo Switch 2 or Pro, it’s just the same device with an improved battery. Now instead of the original estimations of between 2.5 hours to 6.5 hours, we get the promise of 4.5 to 9 hours. Even the same price tag applies. Nintendo goes as far as to cover the cost of shipping and insurance for people who want to switch to the newer… Switch.
The purchases can also be transferred to the new machine. All of these are just available in Canada and USA for now.
