Back in the days of this year’s Computex, MSI showcased two tablets bearing the WindPad branding and now they’re at it again, this time preparing products pertaining to this line for CES 2011. Apparently, they’ll be released in early 2011 and one of them is a 10.1 inch unit with Windows 7 Home Premium as the OS of choice.

This slate will be among the first Intel Atom Oak Trail-based devices on the market, bringing forth a major improvement in battery life over the previous Atom chips. The same unit measures less than an inch in thickness and comes with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution on a multitouch display, plus mini HDMI and mini USB ports.

No pricing was revealed and if you’re wondering about the other product, MSI is also preparing a Tegra 2 Android slate, with a 10.1 inch screen, 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and much the same specs as the Win 7 slate. Android 3.0 could be chosen for this device, if it’s available in February/March.
