You’ll be very tempted to believe that the 8 inch Livefan F8C tablet is somehow related to the Nokia Lumia series. After all, it’s Nokia that made popular the yellow hue on portable devices, right? Well, this model is not related, but instead it’s a pretty good tablet on its own, priced at $161.
We’re dealing with an 8 incher here, one that sports Windows 8.1 on board and can be purchased here. The slate looks reasonably slim and it measures 7.9 mm in thickness. It also weighs 340 grams and offers an ultra narrow frame design. The F8C has an 8 inch wide view angle screen made by Samsung and relying on IPS technology. Its resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels and the aspect ratio is 16:10.
There’s a 5 megapixel back camera, a 2 megapixel front shooter, plus a quad core 64 bit Bay Trail T processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz. We’ve got a 5000 mAh battery inside, good enough for up to 8 or even 10 hours. Finally, the Livefan F8C packs 2 GB of DDR3L memory, 64 GB of storage and a microSD card slot with support for up to 128 GB extra storage. Does this sound good to you or what? I’d see Nokia making such a model, but much more expensive…
