It seems that the future flagship of LG Electronics, called LG G3 will be equipped with an octo-core processor produced by LG itself. This processor called LG Odin, has recently appeared in a benchmark test.
LG Odin score it’s similar to Samsung Exynos 5410, which could mean that this chip isn’t a true octo-core. While an octo-core processor allows users to use all the 8 cores at the same time, LG Odin will allow users to use only 4 cores for heavy lifting, while the other set of 4 cores handles light housekeeping. The GPU could be an Power VR Series 6, the same GPU that it’s present on iPhone 5s, that provides outstanding graphics performance.
The device that ran the AnTuTu benchmark featured an Full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels display, 2 GB of RAM, 4 GB of storage and Android 4.2.2 pre-installed. Anyways, this won’t be the final version of the LG G3, it’s only a prototype.
